Destinations Diva Travel will be assisting all of our guests in reserving their rooms for our wedding on Saturday, March 8, 2025. We ask that all of our guests book through our booking website to ensure you receive all wedding group benefits.

We are holding the rooms from March 6 - March 10, 2025. You do not have to book your room for all of these dates, only 3 nights are required. If you want to extend your travel for longer, please contact Kim and if your additional dates are available, she will add them at the same group rate.
Kennedy and Xavier are holding 5 room category options for their guests, additional room categories can be added to the room block by request.

Enjoy your Lopesan experience in a Tropical Junior Suite, 462 sq ft space with everything you could possibly want for a truly unforgettable experience. All the rooms have air conditioning, a 50” satellite TV, a phone with a direct outside line and a safe. Moreover, the bathrooms in these suites all come with a rejuvenating rain shower and hair dryer. Relax on the 118 sq ft terrace while taking in the views of the tropical forest.

To be considered a part of Kennedy and Xavier's Wedding Group, you must book through this group room block and not through any other method (even directly with the hotel). We offer contracted group rates that have been secured through a room block to make this as easy as possible. To participate in all of the wedding-related activities, you must stay at Lopesan Costa Bavaro as part of the wedding group.
If you stay at a different hotel/resort other than Lopesan Costa Bavaro or do not book via this website, you must inform Destinations Diva Travel (Kim@destinationsdiva.com) as you will be required to be added to the wedding guest list for ceremony/reception access. If you stay at a different hotel/resort, an official ID must be presented to access the hotel. These guests are welcome to arrive 30 minutes prior to the ceremony and must depart the resort immediately following the end of the event.
If you cancel your reservation by September 19, 2024 you are only responsible for the $100 per person cancellation fee..
If you cancel your reservation between September 19, 2024, and December 3, 2024, you will be responsible for 50% of your room total. Also, if you reduce the number of nights in your reservation you will be responsible for 50% of the nights reduced. If you have travel insurance you can file a claim to get a refund based on their terms.
If you cancel your reservation or reduce the number of nights in your reservation on or after December 3, 2024 you are responsible for 100% of your room total. If you have travel insurance you can file a claim to get a refund based on their terms.
Additionally, the resort will not allow the following modifications/changes to your reservation on or after December 3, 2024.

What can you do with your reservation between September 19 and December 3?
The resort will not provide a credit or voucher for future travel if you arrive after your scheduled arrival date, if you check out early, or do not travel on the dates selected for this reservation for any reason.
If you purchased the travel insurance and have to cancel you will be refunded by the travel insurance company according to the travel insurance guidelines, but you are still responsible for the $100 cancellation fee.
Once a reservation is booked there is a $100 cancellation fee with no regard to the reason for the cancellation. This cancellation fee cannot be reapplied to a later re-booking.

FYI, not purchasing travel insurance could result in the loss of your travel cost and/or require more money to correct the situation. Without insurance, there may be no way to recoup any losses, costs, or expenses incurred and the price of travel insurance IS NOT included in the price of the room selections and is non-refundable once purchased.
Having travel insurance is definitely important and I recommend it for everyone. We personally buy it for our trips. However, the option to purchase travel insurance is solely up to you and you may purchase it through any insurance company you would like.

If you want the CFAR (Cancel for Any Reason) benefit you will have to add it to the policy and you must purchase the insurance no later than 21 days from the day you make your initial payment.

Private airport transfers - group roundtrip transfers are included in your trip. This is roundtrip airport transportation to and from the resort in Punta Cana. It does not include flights. Once you have your flights scheduled, Kendall will send out a form to collect this information and schedule your transportation to and from the PUJ airport. When you arrive at Punta Cana airport and exit all the way outside, there will be someone with a sign reading: Kennedy and Xavier's Wedding waiting for you. Pick up times are based on your flight arrival and departure times. The transportation will be non-stop and private for this group only. You will receive transportation instructions in your travel itinerary documents approximately 2-3 weeks before travel.
No. The room occupancy is set by the resort. Max Occupancy is 2 adults plus 2 children or 3 adults. The resort does not allow additional guests over the maximum capacity to stay in the same room. If you have more people in your party than the max occupancy, you will need to book additional rooms. The resort will not make any exceptions to change the occupancy.
Yes, round trip, private group transportation in Punta Cana is included in your reservation. Email reminders will be sent to you roughly 90 days prior to your travel date. Failure to provide flight information to Kendall@destinationsdiva.com 45 days prior to travel may result in the guest arranging their transportation at their own expense. This transportation includes someone to pick you up from the PUJ airport and take to you the resort, and someone to pick you up from the resort and take you back to the airport. It does not include flights.
Yes. If one person in the room purchases travel insurance, everyone in the same room must also purchase travel insurance.
Travel Insurance must be purchased within 21 days of booking your reservation. There are several travel insurance options available. The price of insurance is based on the price of your trip and age. You can reach out directly here to get pricing quotes.
Travel insurance and your $100 deposit are non-refundable. If you cancel your trip prior to the final payment date, the amount minus your $100 deposit & travel insurance (if applicable) is refundable. If you cancel after the final payment date, your trip is non-refundable (unless travel insurance is purchased).
Obviously, no one can fully guarantee that nothing will happen to anyone at any time while at home or abroad, but statistically travel for US citizens abroad is relatively safe, even when compared to the likelihood of crime in your own hometown. The chances of becoming a victim of violent crime increases astronomically if you are living or engaging in a high-risk lifestyle. However, we can never guarantee anyone’s safety, even in their own home or home city, let alone during travel, and would never recommend that someone travel when and where they don’t feel personally comfortable doing so.

The resort is an all-inclusive resort, which includes your stay, all meals, snacks, drinks (including alcohol), 24-hour room service, non-motorized sports (kayaking, paddle boards, etc.), and resort sponsored activities. The price includes all taxes and fees. Because the resort is all inclusive, the rates are per person, per night. If the occupancy changes, the pricing changes. Any additional guests added to your room will have an additional charge.

We recommend applying for your passport as soon as possible. Passport processing times may vary, but typically take about 4 months.
A passport book valid for 6 months after your travel date is required for everyone for international travel. If you do not hold a US passport, you will need to check with the country's entry requirements for your citizenship.
You will begin receiving information regarding your trip about 45 days prior to your travel date. Detailed itineraries will be sent out no later than 10 days prior to travel.

Vaccines and COVID testing are no longer required to travel. Please note that is subject to change anytime.
It is treated as any other sickness. There are no restrictions flying with Covid or requirements to stay in the destination. Illnesses are always unexpected an a great reason to have travel insurance so that you are reimbursed for any medical expenses incurred during travel.
We recommend purchasing travel protection. Unexpected events can occur at any time, and your reservation is non-refundable unless travel insurance is purchased.
